Maca (Lepidium meyenii Walp.), originating from high-altitude areas of the Andes Mountains in South America, is known as the "natural hormone engine". In 1999, American scientists first isolated two new types of plant active ingredients from maca - Macamides and Macaenes, confirming their significant effects on balancing human hormone secretion.
